If you look at the last 5 Flyers losses they all have a similar theme. Each team had a pair of athletic big men that gave the Flyers problems at both ends of the floor. Buffalo (Watt, Mcrea) Seton Hall (Pope, Auda) SBU (Nicholson, Cook) SJU (Aiken, Roberts...

Posted 11-18-2011 08:31 AM It's that time of the year for us again. We have been getting ready for a pre-season tournrment and played the past two nights. We have 7 varsity players and missing two more from our football team. Will attempt to post a team...

Goals made were out of our defense and in transition.
I don't understand it. At the season's start the one thing you could say about this team was that they could shoot. Now our team's shooting has gone totally reverse. How many layups can you miss? We were a good three point shooting team also but now is...

Bizarre.
The most perplexing season I think i have ever witnessed as a SHU fan .
Pass it, shoot it, or take your man to the goal--and do it with confidence to shoot more often.
And the overall shooting percentage.

I think hardaway should shoot more threes. He sucks trying to make his own shot close to the basket. Betemit is garbage. Stop complaining when he doesn't play.

If by "bruisers who cannot shoot from over 5 feet away" you include Draymond Green, then you obviously don't know college basketball....
To get the bruisers who cannot shoot from over 5 feet away but they can rebound with the best of them.

Basketball is a game of skills and the zone forces good passing and shooting by marshalfan: Nothing chicken....
Nothing chicken ---- about it, good shooting kills a zone every time.
Their zone defense, we'll see less of it maybe.
I know this has been talked about a lot but i believe that the true reason has been overlooked. the reasons that have been talked to death are his ability with the ball in his hands (wings have the ball a lot too in our offense) and how good he is playing...

White at the wing is a match-up nightmare on offense, but a liability on defense (especially on a wing will help with perimeter....
Iowa needs an off shooting night.
Reason why teams shoot such high percentages against Iowa.

We match up really well on offense with a foul drawing machine in Royce White and our 3 point shooting, and....
But is only average at defending 3s, and their guards and wings are really helped out by their inside presence on defense.
1 - Bench Zylstra. He does nothing on the court. He plays horrible defense and can't even do the one thing he was semi decent at before: hit open 3 pointers. 2 - Start Winder. He actually plays defense and gets stops, which creates points in transition...

BYU’s guards/wings jammer, which will give him confidence for his outside shooting, then push push push.
We need to shoot the ball better from the perimeter," acknowledged Coach Rose.
I realize we have been bad a lot this season. But the one thing I can say about this team is they have played and practiced hard all season. That is one thing I have been very proud of.USC coach Darrin Horn on his basketball team.

The bigger the black eye he makes on the basketball program.
Have to bring our A game to win these kinds of road games: The good- *Dillard played his usual good game *the old CJ was back on offense *our offensive rebounding was outstanding (17 !) *Ralph Hill may have just passed Oliver The bad: *dismal 2nd half...

School spirit slogan is "The Hawk Will Never Die the D was .
I tuned in to watch a basketball game and instead enjoyed an SJU practice his wings continuously for an entire athletic event.
