I fish a small lake every summer for bass. This lake also has a nice northern population as well. Last summer when I was texas rigging for bass or wacking worming for bass or even jigging for bass, I'd hook at least 3 northerns in almost every outing....

My suggestion enjoy your time out.
Dont worry about it, just gobass are caught all the time out of season unintentionaly, even now while panfishing .
Would be just go fishing and if you do catch a bass, just release it.

My son and I are looking to take a bass fishing trip in mid June. Any suggestions for a nice trip in Minnesota? Smallmouth or largemouth OK. We'll be fishing for 3-4 days and could handle a little walleye fishing on the side.

If the scheduling works vote 100% of the time.
Plenty of good smaller lakes to fish in the area if the wind picks up, too.

I could see a problem if you were fishing bass and targeting bedding fish then a skilled eye for those of you who want to fish bass sooner.

was at lake gibson today, there was atleast 12 people fishing there and they were all catching and keeping bass, a gentleman said something to them and they released ONE bass and took off with a shopping bag full of other...
