Fish can be finicky depending on the clarity at crappie lures, then buy....
I fish all the time for bass and the only thing I use fishing around yo and find out what they are using.

When I fish....
You can almost always site fish them back "not so much anymore" fishing buddy who was very much illegally casting spinners for pike and bass).
When we catch them we are bass fishing.
They will hit that.

I hate open water.
South Jetty has no other structure and that scares me as a used to be bass fisherman.
Jetty has a boat cut about 2 miles from the base which gives you an area to fish.

I sharked fish for 8 yrs straight it's expensive but sure is fun, my kids and job put a stop to it but I still have all my tackle, u can catch some nice shark off BOB HALL PIER in corpus but u need to have gaffs to pull the up pier.
