I have no idea what I am doing other than what I've gathered on the interweb, but I just started some vegetables, greens and herbs from seed. Anyone else doing this?

Plant one blundered my way through it - it was cool... .
I can get at least 2 crops.
Cucumbers grow really fast too.
Varieties of tomato, bell pepers, jalapenos, green beans and mesclun as well.

Repost of a good overview on understanding the basics of home food canning. I grew up doing pears, peaches, dill pickels, tomatoes, and apple sauce (with cinamon) every fall - and if you try just a little, you can make it fun for kids to help.
