But there is nothing nicer that a beautifully restored wood bed.
The wood bed will require more maintanence than the steel bed.
There are good and bad points with both beds.
Steel doesn't rot and wood doesn't rust.

With enough money you can get it together but there are a ton of parts/pieces that will add up the bed sides...
That reproduce fiberglass bed sides, a fiberglass rear bumper and I think the rear tailgate skin.

I guess I would *slightly* prefer the bed near the balcony as I spend more time in bed than the couch, so would utilize the view more - but honestly to me.
To me it really is a non-issue.

We're trying to sort out a lack of space problem and are considering giving the kids the bedrooms and us two sleep on a sofa bed down stairs.
Has anybody done anything like this or do you sleep on a sofa bed all the time? I can see there been some problems...

Just inherited a 76' trailer special ex cab long bed from my daughter. I hate long beds on anything but a reg cab so the bed is doomed. The side are excellent but there's holes in the floor so I don't have a prob cutting it. I just would like some input...
