I was told by my local shop that because my rim is now bent, I should get a new tire because it is now bent too. I don't really trust them when it comes to trying to get $ out of people, so how accurate is this? (If at all)

I was cleaning out my laptop, when the ribbon connecting the screen to the motherboard came loose, When reconnecting it, I bent 2 of the pins on the connector on the motherboard (doh!).

I once fixed a bent rim....
Concrete floor and a bfh will do the job.
Easy to do if its just the lip.
Tough to do if the center is bent.
What parts bent? Aero wheels sells a tool for the lip and bead area.
It on like a balancer.

I have a question....
If its bent and just, nothing else (once I got a open manhole that bent and blasted two wheels/tires on the same side the wheel was bent.
So the rim is no longer safe to drive on, then it would likely be covered .
