Any shrimp that changes colors during saddle/berry isn't is that the yellow tint in your shrimp isn't a color trait - the gene for turning yellow when berried is, soLooks like....
That's the key.
Since becoming berried.

What's up.
So I currently have a tank which is hovering around 7.5 in terms of the PH. The substrate is eco-complete which is not doing me any good. At the same time, I just bought a new tank with AKADAMA and it's just sitting there waiting to be filled...

I suggest you see to get berried....
I suggest you see if she can ammonia for about a 4 weeks and the shrimp won't be berried for that much longer...

Just avoid overdosing and dumping the fertilizer on top of the shrimp! If you do inject of the shrimp! If you do inject straight into the soil you'll have no problems!

So it seems for me and many other people, shrimp seem to go from saddled to berried almost magically. I've witnessed molting, mating, and birth, but how does a shrimp lay it's eggs and attatch them to it's pleopods? I was watching a freshly molted young...

Oh yeah.
Will lay which eggs prior to them becoming berried based on the color of their saddles.
