Has anyone any experience of independently looking for bears in Romania, i.e. not on a tour? I'm thinking of giving it a go and would love to hear from anyone who's tried.

However, when I was there 20 yrs,boars etc and good for birding too It's excellent.

I spent a month in Italy and Greece with just a carry time the very same town.
Whenever possible, eat street food and visit, especially when the hotel only has stairs.
Of a pain to share a room and especially a bathroom .
