I started laying favourites and understood that the Betfair Starting odds
are different from the official race starting odds.
My question is how do Betfair calculate their Starting odds.?

I like to deposit only small amounts at a time so deposited $50 Canadian. However, once I get on the site the minimum bet is $6. I'm not comfortbale with that % so could anyone suggest anything? I've heard there's a way around it but is that true?
