My wife(-to-be) and I are going to spend our honeymoon in Lake Placid in 6 weeks. We are looking for short, easy hikes in the area. Pros we are looking for: nice scenic views and/or special features (e.g. waterfalls, lakes, gorges, etc.). Cons: very...

Loop with east and west....
Most of these hikes involve a trudge (not a hard one though) up to rainbow falls.
It would be a hike with little danger, Rainbow Falls, Ladies Mile.
A graded dirt gravel road and a very short walk after that.

On earth, lower friction (greater range), and more speed and control are arguably possible with motorcross style dirt bikes on Earth than 4 wheelers on obstacle strewn rough terrain.
Would an electric dirt-bike be a better vehicle for a daily excursion...

Well talk about an epic weekend of riding! hahah. My good friend Scott and I went out yet again (as we do every weekend, either street or dirt, or often both, lol), and he had a big route all planned out which turned out to be freakin' amazing, covering...

Spent last week in Moab, UT at Goose Island (BLM) CG, cost is $12 a night or $6 with "Old Folks Card".
