Hi All,
I have been renting my flat for a number of months and it's come to the time where my first tenant will be moving out.
Is there a good way of ensuring that the tenant has paid all of his bills and they won't appear through the post in a few weeks...

I assume you contacted all utilities at the beginning and gave reading for bills to be put in tenant's with the property and nothing to do ....
It's nothing to do.
Frustrates me when landlords ask for proof that bills have been paid.

I have 3 invoices which i have paid and have marked as paid on Quickbooks Pro 2010. The payment is showing in the correct bank acocunt register and i have reconciled all of the payments.
However, when i go back into "Pay bills" the 3 invoices ...

The Cleared should.
The checks in the Bank Account SHOULD list the bills that it paid.

For utilities - I wasn't aware you could pay upfront, surely cost depends on usage? But assuming you have, you should be up for a refund unless your contract says otherwise... .

I am very much dis-organized sort of person. usually when ever i have any important piece of paper , letter , document , bill . i forgot or throw it and sometime when i need it years later then i repent it.

Yes, it's entirely possible in Google Docs, however I wouldn't recommend scanning all of your personal documents and putting them online as a solution .
