What age cockatoo to get? first off, I have owned a sulfur crested cockatoo before (had to sell him because i moved to an apartment) so dont tell me I need to do some reading and this isnt the pet for me, i wouldnt say im an "expert" tho.

Cockatoos can live 65 - 80+ years, there are cases of birds in zoos old umbrella cockatoo....
I know someone who winter through to spring.
To handle, some of the best pet cockatoos are hand reared retired breeding birds.

Essentially, Cookoo's claiming you birds making frequent, even constant, claims of ownership of our heads, their cages and toys this beak tapping be allowed or discouraged ....
As a general rule, beak tapping in birds is a sign of ownership.
