When is birth too traumatic for TV? For those that don't watch OBEM, there was a very traumatic shoulder dystocia shown tonight. Like heart in your mouth!
Was that too much for TV? I can imagine that it's going to really petrify some women or should we...

Do people want to read rather 'traumatic' birth stories? I have a long story involving Pre-E, abruption, an emergency c-section and the NICU. I won't share, though, if people only want happy stories. Totally understandable.

She gave birth to her son naturally with no meds and had 4th degree tear.
Cs any day, but, my vaginal birth wasn't traumatic (just a small episiotomy that healed fairly well experience as yours.

We had a plumber here yesterday to fix our tub. Long story short, P can now take a bath in the bathroom!!! (He's been in the kitchen sink since birth and he's just getting too big!)

I think this story will be used by anti-midwife, anti-home birth, and to an extent, anti-natural child birth advocates against those things.

On actual "game day," the birth plan, I would have given the nurses a copy....
I made sure it stuck to one page or less expectations were realistic/in sync with her philosophies .
