Yesterday I have picked up this TV which has colored vertical lines on the right side of the screen on all inputs and also on the menu.
I have tried cleaning the LVDS cable ends and the ribbon cables, but there is no change.
It has video on the remaining...

Tonight all of a sudden my tv went black and has multi colored vertical lines through it. Any idea what could have happened and how to fix it. Or should I just buy a new tv?

Its like green.
3 of the new Samsungs TV's they had there had these exact lines on the TV's.
I would stay away on display.
One had them going Horizantal and vertical.

If problem exists after power on the monitor with nothing connected, chances are there's something wrong with the monitor itself (PCB fried most likely)
try a different power cable Normally only see that pattern when the glass is cracked or the PCB pulled... .

Only if you are able to do it yourself, and can do it without damaging the Plasma flat panel, go for it .
It would cost you more to repair, than just getting a new set .
