My understanding is that with a blighted ovum no yolk sac....I asked a similar question in Sept when I saw a yolk sac and possible embreyo with no hb....but I don't believe a yolk sac is visible with blighted ovum as there is no baby at all in ges sac...

At 5w with this preg.
My hcg level at 9w was only 21000.
I had only a sac and I was supposed to be 9w - sac measured 6w6d beat, so you can get preggers after a blighted ovum.
I had a blighted ovum in June.

I am by my calculations 8 weeks pregnant, but my blood work is showing 6 weeks pregnant. I found out I was pregnant the day I was supposed to start (4 weeks). I have had 4 ultrasounds since then and all we have been able to see if an empty sac growing...

You can't even start to see a heartbeat.
At 5 weeks it is impossible to diagnose a blighted ovum.

Does anyone know? i had one in October and im prego again..just wondering. I cant stop thinking about if im going to see a baby this time and not just a sac.
Also i keep checking TP every time i wipe...i do it so much hoping i dont see blood.

I have seen a couple women on here who have had 2 in a row so it is possible .
I know those arent exact statistics by any means.
I had one a couple years ago and my Dr said that chances of it happening again are "very slim" .

After a ultrasound that showed an empty sac, but hcg levels rising, my last set of hcgs can back really low. Moving on now and will rest and then we will try for my rainbow baby! I still have hope for baby #2! Please send prayers! Good luck to you ladies...

Blighted ovum Anyone have experience with a blighted ovum or no fetal pole at u/s?
I'm devastated as I went today at 6w3d and found no fetal pole but didn't have bleeding or anything. I am praying for a miracle!

This sounds to me more like a chemical pregnancy than a blighted ovum? I would speak to your OB to be sure a chemical pregnancy.
Did you have your recent m/c diagnosed, or just assume you have a blighted ovum? I would treat this.

Has anyone else had an empty sac on a t/v ultrasound right around 6 weeks and then good news a week later?
I went in for a t/v ultrasound last Friday (2/3). I was 6 weeks 0 days. The ultrasound only showed an empy sac...no baby, no yolk sac, no heartbeat...

Focus situation is very similar to mine, I found out on Friday at nearly 6.5 weeks that I have a blighted ovum this on my own and still have no baby.
The only way i coped was keep on trying.

I had what they called a blighted ovum, where a blighted ovum, there is nothing there from....
I just went through this about 3 weeks ago.
This time she specifically talked about a blighted ovum and even.
And the next week it was fine.
