I had a blighted ovum in October and in my case there was never a yolk sac and my gestational sac of misdiagnosis for blighted ovum I would wait, I guess my thought is it can't hurt to wait, good luck Posted on CafeMom Mobile I agree.

I have seen a couple women on here who have had 2 in a row so it is possible .
I know those arent exact statistics by any means.
I had one a couple years ago and my Dr said that chances of it happening again are "very slim" .

I had a blighted ovum back in January and had a d&c. I got a BFP two weeks ago and had my first U/S on Tuesday. Once again, I was measuring a week behind and the tech couldn't see a fetal pole, just a yolk sac. The dr says I have a 50/50 shot right now...

I was supposed to be 6.5-7 weeks, measured only 5.6 at ulstrasound, there was a sac and yolk but no fetal pole or hb, is that a blighted ovum?
or not because of the yolk sac?
I know it doesnt really matter, but in my heart I feel if there was no heartbeat...

X Hiya Hunnie and went oh there wasn't a yolk so it's actually a blighted ovum!...
I had a yolk with my second mc and they called it a blighted ovum.
That it can't happen.

While I haven't had a blighted ovum, I have had a friend pregnancies
My friend went on to have a healthy pregnancy 3 months after her blighted ovum.
