I'm trying to cut a bunch of identical copies of a 3D part out of one big block of wood. I can fit 15 of the 3D parts in a 12" X 48" X 2" piece of wood.
The problem:
It takes about 10-15K lines of code to cut out one of the parts so times that by 15 and...

Tighter and maximize my material usage? I suppose I could generate another block of code that was for the flipped part, and call out that block in certain spots, while also calling out the original sub count.

This is completely random, but does anyone have any need to have 3D CAD modelling or engineering drawings made?
I have SolidWorks and I can mock things up, redesign parts, make engineering drawings, and do some simulations/FE Analysis.

Auto Cad is not real cheap though but I think you sort of have to go a list of free 3D CAD programs but....
You might look at auto cad parametric blocks but these only work in 2d oriented for cnc work.
For the different sizes.
