Blu Disc Ray

I had the good luck of seeing a workprint copy days before it's theatrical release which I still prefer over either the theater or dir cut versions. The original ending where Loomis is forced to shoot Micheal before the cops pull up to the house was far more believable than the ridiculous chase through the house only to have Laurie shoot Micheal point-blank in the face! It also included a cut line of dialog explaining why Michael attacks the nurse in the first place when the nurse insults him upon looking at the photo of baby Laurie, thereby changing his motives altogether. I guess the studio wanted him to be a killer for no reason as opposed to killing people who get in his way. source

If you just watch blu-rays, then all you need is a standard BD-ROM. However, if you burn high-def movies, then you'll want to get a BD-RE, which also plays blu-rays. source

But if you're playing a multi-channel track through 2 speakers, it's being downmixed to 2-channel. If there's a separate 2-channel track on the disc, you should select that. Usually all the audio tracks are shown in the pop-up menu, though it may be easier to just use the Audio button if it isn't locked out. source

I was confused about that feature when I read that a year back. Does this mean that the Blu-Ray Drive has writing capabilities? It would be nice, if a 1 gb of space could be re-writable. source

So are new films filmed with HD camera like the Life series on the BBC then or not? So they should be the best quality if they are surely? source
