I have windows vista on my notebook (a HP Compaq nx6125). It has a broadcom bluetooth device, but I get an installation notice all the time for the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device".
I suppose I need a driver, but I don't have any cd with that on.

Hi
I am trying to connect my E72 to my laptop (Windows 7, 64 bit).
I need to troubleshoot the device and get the error message: ' Driver for peripheral device is not installed'.
I cannot find any Windows 7 bluetooth drivers for the E72 on the Nokia support...

Searching in the Discussions for 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver' and it looks like we are not alone to Windows 7 (from Vista) on a HP x64 machine and alas since then I can connect to the device anymore.

I turned on Bluetooth in both the laptop and my iPhone. The device shows up and I get the pair code dialog on the laptop. Once it is paired, Vista shows the "Found new hardware..." dialog. At this point, I'm lost. I was hoping for an "it just works" situation...

First is to ignore the driver request and make sure that once right click on the bluetooth icon in the task....
The bluetooth is turned on on both systems and paired and Internet tethering is enabled on the iPhone, there are two tricks.

Have received any driver cd for vista, you can use vista drivers in win7 (although none exists.

I recently did an in-place upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 RTM. For the most part, things have went brilliantly. The only issue I've been facing is regarding my bluetooth headset, a Dell BH200. The laptop is an Inspiron 1720.

Dell doesn't seem to offer 64 bit drivers specifically for the Inspiron 1720 (laptop). I'm going to be upgrading from Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64bit and I want to pull down the necessary stuff before hand.

You can get Vista x64 drivers from Dell driver download page itself, and for Windows 7 x64 drivers you can check out....
However, you may need to use Vista x64 drivers for few devices.
