Hi, ive decided to do an oil change on my bmw rather than waiting another 4000 miles.
So ive got all the equipment and tools and i was just about to do it, BUT... the underside of the engine is protected by some 'belly thing' and i cant get access to ...

Yeah good point, thought that bmw would have done this across its 5 series is at the back of the engine, I'm assuming....

Just gotta vent!
I decided to do my own oil change on my 2006 x3. Followed the instructions I found online - bought the factory filter and some Mobil synthetic 5/30. Everything was going along like clock work UNTIL
I was trying to screw the plug back ...

Anyone here had to change a battery for your BMW 3 series? Where did you get it, or did you just go to the dealership? I have a 2006 325i and the battery is huge and german in irregular looking, is it a MUST that i go to dealership or has anyone ever ...

Mean that you have to have a BMW made battery.

The lease on my GTi company car expires in 4 months time so I have to change it over. I have come to the following decisions :
1. Another GTi - My Mk6 has been brilliant, I look forward to driving it everyday, only downside is it has left me wanting more...
