as you may have read I am looking to join the FFRR fold soon. I got a little burnt when I bought a D2 a coule of years ago so am doing a bit more research for this purchase.
What are the service intervals for the 4,4 V8 petrols (bmw) and which are...

I think the MUCH bigger issue is not oil change interval or what type of oil....but LOW oil level. No one has ever blown an engine from wrong oil type. Splitting hairs. However, lots of motors die b/c of low oil.

Annoying perhaps but not useless, and if you for owning a vehicle, that's why they have dipsticks.. .

Just curious to see what mileage intervals Chrysler owners are seeing with their OLM? My '11 Ram showed me about 4.5k on my last two intervals. When is your "Change Oil" light coming on??

I decided to do my own oil change on my 2006 x3. Followed the instructions I found online - bought the factory filter and some Mobil synthetic 5/30. Everything was going along like clock work UNTIL
I was trying to screw the plug back ...

OEM BMW oil seems to be pretty well regarded, or just run Mobil 1 Euro the damn thing like its the Honda you think it is.
intervals, it's about wear.

What are most folks on here with the WS fluid doing for tranny service?
Leave it untouched or perform some kind of regular change intervals?
It just seems odd to me that anyone would never change their tranny fluid...

Regular service intervals are important, as no fluid is "Lifetime", it may last a while intervals (don't feel bad, almost....
When I was working for Lexus, we recommended 60k differently .
K intervals under normal street use is fine.

I've searched but haven't found anything yet.
So, during the third oil change at BMW, the following will be changed:
1. Spark plugs
2. Engine Oil
3. Differential Fluid
Yet BMW dealership claims that the 6MT's transmission fluid is "lifetime" which I call...

I've got a new 500 Lounge and just hit 1000 miles. I was wondering if I should take her in for her first oil change, since I've read that new cars should get one early on to get shavings, etc out and then regular intervals at that?
