Thinkin' of upgrading....
I have a 170 tracker w/a 5o merc tracker.
All welded is a must have also.
Light weight less gas to tow trackers ride pretty good for tin.
Tin boats have their place.
Address the issue in the production line.

Doubt it would push an 18' boat very fast, but who knows water....
But they are normally found in the little 12' to14' boats.
Yes I am.
Personally, other than the leaks on my ex Bass Tracker, it was an okay boat but I had an O/B.

It seems the fish hawk is an ideal boat for my purposes. I want something 16.5 - 17.5 ft, not too deep but still good for big water, a casting deck in front, and prefer split [full] windshield. The fish hawk and sportfish both offer those options. I'm...

More for your money.
These are great boats!
Also, I would look into a used boat.
Are sold on Lund, Alumacraft, Tracker and Lowe all very good boats some better than others and each.
