Changed the rad today n noticed when i took the top rad pipe off that the 2 allen head bolts that bolt the removable sect of the downtube to the frame are both missing
i`ve used the bolts out of my 1200 for the mo but has anyone got 2 or 3 hanging around...

Why is it (even on like new saws) in this series that the muffler bolts like to twist into aka break when removing? Gets old and only think I have gotten through 1 saw without breaking a bolt. Stihl thinks their bolts are made of GOLD for the OEM prices...

On the Stihls with removable covers and the screws with studs and nuts you....
But being Macs did the same thing if they were on a stud .
On the P 500 5000 muff bolts if one broke I could make one.
It is just a way to get $4+ a bolt.

Here's a pic of what they are; part stays in the bed, and I stash the eye-bolt 'till I need to pull the 35" in for wheeling.

You'll have to get a friend to lay under your truck and tight the bolts of the screw later.
If those bottom bolts are welded in, chisel them off.
