any you're loving right now? I'm finishing up the book "A Stolen Life" (The story of Jaycee Dugard). and I need a rec for my next book. Thinking of giving Hunger Games a shot, but heard it's hit or miss.

Is there a Windows program that can convert audio books in .M4B format to Audible book format?
Why?... I want to play the book on a Garmin Nuvi.

Audio book and podcast files, which also contain.
Audible use a proprietary format for their Audible Book files tracks are unencrypted and use .m4a accordingly.
To buy it again in a different format.

How do you manage your programming books between home and work? Do you carry all your books between the two or do you exclusively make use of e-books at one of the locations?

I usually buy a 'real' book if I'm going to read it cover from cover, but I can access it from anywhere been a while since I read a book....
But that's just personal preference
I find Safari Books a big help.

The latter is a wonderful steampunk book I hate books that jump around, but....
I was afraid of reading the second book because the plot sounded much more dull than pacing, a small town, child protagonist, and really awesome.

I keep reading in news and blogs that programmers do not read books, that the book industry is 'in decline' and that writing a book isn't worth the effort as the money is pathetic. My question: is it true? Should we just bury the book industry and stick...

I'm interested in purchasing an e-book reader, mainly for reading programming related e-books.
Up until now, e-book readers seemed to have a pretty bad reputation. I wonder if this situation has changed and anyone had any good experience with any of them...

Common netbook screen resolution of 1024 x 600 is good for comfortable reading for the same reason, and had... .
Instead look at any of the netbook type laptop PCs avaialable with dedicated e-book readers.
Don't buy a dedicated e-book reader.
