Personally, I'm not sure SSRS is quite.
I also found, having read that book, that COLOURLovers was a great place to get very nice palettes of colo(u)rs which are part of the recommendation in the book.

Hey all
I'm new to Crystal Reports and was interested in finding out what books would be most helpful. I'm planning on using the Designer as well as integrating Crystal Reports with a .NET C# application.
Anybody have any idea which are the best books...

I've been looking into report definition customization extensions (RDCE) in SQL2K8 recently and I've been at a loss to find much documentation or even chatter on the internet about it.

I am not really sure what you are trying to accomplish... .
Sorry, but MS had never good documentation for reporting extensions.
But I didn't see any example for RDCE.
Normally MS publish examples on CodePlex ( http://www.codeplex.com/MSFTRSProdSamples ).
