bookmarks not only reappear, they multiply! :-( I now have to go to the bookmark manager each time of the same bookmark I deleted weeks ago!! And strangely enough it is only the deleted bookmarks then back on again on all ....

Update: no longer relevant, please vote to close. We all know and love xmarks for keeping Firefox bookmarks sync'd across computers, but...

You can now use bookmark sync and machine independant....
This should also work across computers if you set it up on both.
Delicious makes it easy to have a single set of bookmarks kept in sync between all of your computers.

I asked for the same system as Lastpass, where the bookmarks be able to have my bookmarks free....
Beware, your bookmarks are semi-public or fully public depends on how you set it up.
If you use multiple browsers, this is the way to go .

No nothing....
Not just bookmarks but everything -- nothing is sync-ing at all except the bookmark bar now.
I'm running Chrome 13.0.772.0 dev-m and sync isn't working for me .
It used to sync my bookmarks toolbar, so it's a recent bug.

I was hopeful that the suggestion....
I used the suggestion of reorder by title it.
Especially the ones on the bookmark bar.
If no joy, disable bookmarks.
Change the order of bookmarks there.
Go to wrench icon > Bookmark manager.
