How do you manage your programming books between home and work? Do you carry all your books between the two or do you exclusively make use of e-books at one of the locations?

I usuallyfor the books i need constantly, i have a copy at home and a copy at work - carrying books between the two just plain sucks....
But that's just personal preference
I find Safari Books a big help.
To use a physical book.

Does anyone have any books they consider rare, or special for some reason? Autographed stuff? Limited editions?

the guy won't ship outside the US otherwise I'd be all over it - it's currently $50 with around 4 days to run - from the way he's listed it, very few people have spotted it & it doesn't show up at all if you do a search...

I have a bias towards the slim ones. (I am talking about technical books here ;-). By slim I mean the books I can read lying on the couch. That would approx to the books with no more than 400 pages I guess. GoF's design patterns has more pages, though...

In most cases I find skimming two or more books on a given subject and then digging into parts of one of the books....
Also some books are required reading from a book.
And a wide variety of information nothing beats a book.
