I'm in love with boomers and use them exclusively on my J bass. At first they are too bright for me but mellow to a perfect medium in time except the G.
I'm looking for a G that is bassier sounding and mellow, could someone reccomend a string for my bass...

I have the 45-65-85-105 set of GHS Boomers and they have the red silk(?), but I don't know ernie ball without that red silk on top? Silk or no silk, the Ernie Ball and GHS Boomers are _very).
