I installed Boot Camp on my Mac, then Windows 7 and the specific Windows drivers from the Mac OS X installation DVD.
On the Windows side, how can I know which version of the Boot Camp driver I am running?

It replaces the normal OSX ....
REFIt is a boot manager that will allow you to select which OS to boot at startup, and also has some very handy extra features.
There is no way to this with only BootCamp installed as it is controlled by OSX .

On my MacBook Pro unibody 2009, I get life in the 4-5 hours range with the NVidia driver Apple supplies with Snow Leopard Boot Camp 3.0 NVidia OEM compatiblie drivers....
Use the drivers from Boot Camp 3.0 on the Snow Leopard disk.

I'm trying to run boot camp to install Windows 7 on a partition and it can't find the Windows installer. I'm tried it from a USB and the Windows DVD, but neither works.
It's an 2008 iMac 2.66 Ghz 4 Gig Ram, 128 SSD running 10.7.2

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by Boot Camp "can't" find.
I feel defeated.
This seems related to Boot Camp this to work.
And rarely had problems besides the normal Windows issues.

What do you mean by base install? Boot Camp a disc of drivers from Boot Camp Assistant? I remember back in Leopard that's how you got the drivers Windows then boot....
Take the drivers off my SL disc and upload them somewhere .

Try just booting while holding the option on an external DVD dive and install that way.
Check disk Since boot camp already has the partition setup.
