My computer was working perfectly today. i went out and bought a geforce 560 to swap over from my old 9800 GTX. i then installed all the windows updates as the computer was shutting down. this is the last time it has booted. i then swapped over the cards...

Next time uninstall drivers, shut down, install new card boot uninstall the old card....
See driver til you install new driver..
Have you tried putting the old graphics card back in? I'd boot into safe mode F8 as boots.

If not, then it is possible of either a bad with the optical drive, whether you fix it or not, I think the hard drive is bad or has a boot problem.
If you can boot - it means that your boot cd/dvd is bad.

I bought a new nVidia card, to replace my old nVidia card, and put it in my computer. Now when I boot Fedora 13 it doesnt give any errors but just hangs at boot. (I dont think it finishes the boot process either)
Does anybody know of a solution to this...

Try setting hard drive delay to allow more time for the card and drives to mount that? something I notice is that on first boot up the onboard esata controller fires up but the LSI card is skipped for some reason....
