Again, the reader didn't work.

When you click on Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reder does it say.
Activated the SD-Card service?? Try the following: click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel if not already did and enable it as a service.

Hi, I've got a simila problem, so I tryed fdisk, and magicaly, it makes my sd card mountable.
Dev/mmcblk0 is my sd card), lines like the last one list partitions.
Mary, I presume you used some sort of a USB boot option in your BIOS Boot Sequence setting. Do you remember which one? Assuming I get past that hurdle, what did you have to do to make the card bootable? thanks AlanD

What is weird is that the external card reader is now reading my cards....
I have only used SD.
The system hangs if there is even a card in the 2 new reader/writers.
