If you mean booting straight into the command prompt, go into your choices of safemodes and pick safemode with command prompt and it'll boot up just that command prompt window. If you're in that and want to jump to regular safe mode, just type in "explorer". source

Who remember DOS Programs that they used?

I worked on computers when they were still vaccume tubes, but the first computer I managed to get my hands on for personal use was what everybody referred to in them days as a trash 80 from radio shack. The IBM was a big step up when the came out with it. source
