Howdy,
I am wanting to get my feet wet with the Windows 7 x64 RC before I need to start supporting it. Has anyone run the RC on their MacBook Pro with bootcamp?
Also, Have you pulled the bootcamp partition into VMWare Fusion?
Thank you,
Keith

I've pulled my BootCamp partition into VMWare Fusions with no issues what so ever, but you do need.
With the F keys and the BootCamp icon that is usually in the task bar isn't there, however I suspect.

Just bought a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with 2GB of memory and a 320GB hard drive. I plan on doing some .net development on it using a BootCamp/VMWare combo since VMWare grants access to the bootcamp partition.
What is a recommended size for a BootCamp...

Also a complete virtual disk for a BootCamp partition....
Why? It's a lot easier to have a really large virtual disk which is not using it all where as BootCamp will take the space.
Recommend BootCamp unless you want to play games on it.

I have Snow Leopard and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (via Bootcamp) installed on a 2010 MacBook.
When I try to run Windows 7 (installed on Bootcamp) on VMWare Fusion 3, VMWare Fusion window just close and MacOS X tells me that vmware has crashed.

Bootcamp is for actually using Windows as a native Operating system on your Mac and has nothing to do.
I am a little confused here - When you use VMWare Fusion, you should not be using Bootcamp at all.

Is it possible to install Windows 7 (64 bit) on a Mac Pro without Bootcamp. I don't need Mac OS at all and just want to install Windows 7.
EDIT: Yes, it seems possible (see answer) but I would strongly recommend to follow deddebme's advice on this matter...

Restore) OSX and install bootcamp, but you'll save lots of time since bootcamp will do the EFI apply to 7.

Hello! I am using a brand new MacBook Pro. I am running a copy of Windows 7 natively via bootcamp (No use of Virtual Machine Software at all). However the only way I can get Windows to connect to the internet is via ethernet, as opposed to the Macs Airport...

As mentioned on apple website, windows 7 is still not fully supported by bootcamp for the moment, Airport and Wi-Fi
Bootcamp now supports Windows 7.

The Macbook pro unibody has two graphic cores: the 9600 and the 9400. When running OS X you can choose which core you want to use.
How do you disable the 9600 and use the 9400 instead on Windows (bootcamp) ?

You might be able to do some kind of awkward/clever hardware hack to make it work, though for the life of me I can't find anyone else who has written about it being ... .
This isn't possible using Apple-approved means (see Apple's knowledge base article ) .

Has anyone been able to install Windows 7 x64 under Bootcamp on a Mac? I was able to get the 32-bit version to install, but I cannot get x64 to install. The Mac doesn't seem to even want to boot the DVD. And even if I get it installed are there drivers...

Virtualised XP is great!
Note Parallels also allows integration with Bootcamp , and it may be possible though seems.
A second copy of the bootcamp item appears in the selector menu, this is harmless.

Of course it does depend on what exactly you are trying to do .
It's highly unlikely that you are going to be able to get fast performance whilst running Windows on a Mac .
