Goose Island Bourbon County Stout . This was such a phenomenal beer. Was this just a one-time batch? Whomever can get this stuff at their local store is one lucky SOB. Wow.

What do you look for in a good bourbon? Not so much interested in the brand you like, just the typical proof, palate and bouquet aspects. what hints do you find most appealing?

These are more the ideas I'm looking....
Especially when you toss in a buck & a half .
My ideal bourbon would be over 100 proof with some vanilla, toffee, and oak in the nose as well it is but crafting the same old bourbon is a little tiring.

It also rules about Bourbon....
Bourbon HAS to be barreled and aged in Kentucky.
Jack is not a bourbon - since it it made in Tennessee and not Kentucky and it is a sour mash style.
We have 3 of those here most of the time .
