I personally find that days with light rain or just steady rain to be very sucessful for hunting mature bucks. Not only does it knock your scent down but I think mature bucks ...

I read an article a few months back about the state talking about allowing bowhunting for deer on the island to reduce the herd because the deer were getting over-populated. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I've seen some "I'm new, what stand should I get" posts on here in the past where many, if not most, of the folks were recommending a Summit climber. I'm not new to hunting or bowhunting, and I actually owned a Viper years ago but I never tried to bowhunt...

Folks
The bowhunting festival is planned for Memorial Day weekend. This years festival will be held at the Old Kiokee Store.
As usual, there will be shooting on Friday (AM/PM) and Saturday (AM/PM). The course will be open for family enjoyment on Sunday...
