Well I downloaded a gp tab for it
When I play along with the gp version it's all good , sounds correct
However when I play it along with the versions I find on youtube (like the music video etc.) it sounds as though the version I'm playing is a half step...

Neither is correct.
Tuning half a step down live means the singer doesn't have to sing as high to reach all the high notes and therefore strain his voice as much .
A lot of bands tune differently in the studio to live .

When it comes to a good shooter and probably the best revolver design of it's time it's hard to beat the Rogers& Spencer .44, most were too late to be used in the war and ended up being bought by Bannerman for scrap, who them sold them for a few bucks...
