Hi folks,
i trying to see how much electricity is required to power 'x' number of computers. I know it's a vague thing because some computers draw more than others (eg. diff chipsets, HDD, vid cards, PSU's, etc).
So, lets just assume is a mum-and-dad ...

I did some stats on this a while load while doing some common tasks, but if you're doing a power budget, you really only to make sure that the normal power consumption....
If if it's just office type computers, 6000-6500 watts should be good.

What is the best way to backup a small network (about 40 workstations) all running windows xp pro ? The machines are spread out over 2 large buildings so it would be nice to have a solution that could be maintained remotely.

The PC I use today is a million times faster than the one I started programming on when I was in college. And yet it always seems - I am always waiting for something to get done...
Back then it would take 30 seconds to 5 minutes to assemble a program ...

Update. The computers were too complex, people kept getting by filters and wasting class time. The test scores were fine, maybe went a little up even. We just need more filters on the computers, and it could work.
