Need a budget wide-angle lens & high-speed lens for Nikon D3100 Doesn't have to be Nikon but should be good quality obviously.
I have a 50/1.4D old manual prime lens but it honestly just isn't practical for most situations. There's only so far I can step...

I'm looking for a budget wide-angle lens that will enable me to do a decent job with shooting interior panoramic images using a D7000 and a Nodal Ninja.

I love my Tamron 17-50mm but have never....
The Tamron's no slouch on shooting track action you may well find youself wanting extra length .
OTOH L lens are very good IQ wise.
If the Canon is stablized, no contest.

Macro lens - Budget Basement Style I have a midrange Canon, a 400D, with a few decent but nothing special lenses. I like photographing my knives but the best I got to do it with is a standard 18-55mm lens, and it only goes so far. No cool really up-close...

In the old SLR days with film, my absolute favorite lens was a Nikkor photography and plant closeups.
I have yet to try it out.
The fixed focal length macro lens allow you to get the same maginfication at a distance.
