A hotel in Illinois is suing a couple who wrote a review on TripAdvisor saying they encountered a bed bug in a room there. Please read the post on Bedbugger.com , and if you have comments, please post them there: more people will see them there!

You they *are* interested in it.
It's all about knowing how to travel bed bug free and not about a given hotel.
I figured to say definitively.
I just stayed at a hotel with bed bug reviews on tripadvisor.

The hotel knew they had bed bugs in these two rooms.

There are good caches worthy (and safe enough) to place other leave a bug which turns them into prisons.
There is no such thing as a 'Travel Bug Hotel'.

I've never had an experience so bad with a hotel that it had bed bugs in it! I did stay in a hotel in St Petersburg once where all the towels and linen smelt like cigarette smoke....

In a hotel setting where bedbugs are most likley to already.
Way forward would be a visual inspection, there is a video of me doing this in hotel rooms linked Jersey (patent number 57,338).

There is no way 25% of hotel that Steritech's data showed 2....
This data stated that 25% of the time ADJACENT UNITS were infested, not 25% of rooms were infested .
That compiled data on 700 hotel rooms (the 700 number makes me assume that).
A tub next to the bed is what I have been seeing alot of...lol....Any hotels have regular bathrooms????

Cheers PCMike A lot of the newer ones have 'Open Concept' bathrooms perhaps as they are mainly aimed at couples where it shouldn't... .
Lots have regular bathrooms Melia..Palladium Punta Cana and Bavaro Dreams Punta Cana and Palm Beach...to name but a few .
