You said it, "today's technology", which yrs ago.
The preventive source of protection was the vapor barrier.
I've yet to find that trapped.
Either way I'd use a vapor barrier.
As any solid membrane would work.

I've been Sno-sealing my skates about 2-3 days after each skate, otherwise, they get dark spots right after skating. I skate in a very humid rink (e.g., fog every time, drops of water falling from the ceiling of the restroom). The dark spots disappear...

How have you been to wax build up?
Definitely not wax ....

Fuel injection vehciels normally don't have issues with vapor, on the high side of the fuel system I'm running braided fuel hose.
What type of fuel filters do you have.

HELP!!
I have a 1986 Ford Ranger V6 2.9L
It has recently had a problem where after driving or running the engine and shutting it off it will not restart. Almost like its vapor locked.
If you wait a few hours it will start again. I checked the fuel pump...
