So DH asked me today if I had put together DD's easter basket yet from the Easter Bunny (she's 10

I was just reading some easter bunny/ easter basket posts, and began to wonder what the story
behind the easter bunny is? I grew up in a religous home which never did the easter bunny/basket...
Gosh--I don't know if there's a "back story" to the Easter Bunny like there is about Santa
