Burning Smell from under the hood. Can't solve. For months now, I periodically get a burning smell coming into the cabin through the vents. usually after I have pushed the car a bit, (nothing abusive). The smell is usually always noticeable outside the car. More so now. Now everyday day I smell it ... K1300S HP - smell of burning insulation Has anyone had this happen to them. A fellow K1300S HP owner raised this with me about 6 weeks ago and I had the same experience yesterday. Did you have any exhaust added? New as it did the first year using the heaters.... I get a whiff of burning oil smell about 1-2 minutes after start up. CM has the same issue.
