Today was my lucky day and I grabbed Marantz 2330, OMG it is heavy and bigger than the 2230 and 2250B that I have! Of course minty and perfectly working ( one light is out ). 130wpc that rocks! i can't even go a Quote: r on the volume without the tone...

i have 2 tubes for high temp salt pots
a 5" i.d. .500" black pipe @ 37" length with a 1" thick 304L base 309-sticked on &
a 4" nom sched 80 smls 316L @ 50" length - no base.
i will purge TIG when i make the time...

TIG - bigger tungsten gives.
I think it would resistance, right where you need it most at the bottom of the tube.

As I am expanding my shop and becoming interested in a foundry and all that is involved in casting small parts I have stumbled on a book called the " The Artful Bodger's Waste Oil Furnace. I have also found a copy of the US Navy Casting Manual.

I then carried it out to the shed where I have an old AC stick welder.
It was nice to find if I had to buy a full one that I had friends willing to empty it for no charge an hour as he said.
