Is there fluid in the a/c compressor clutch? I am pretty sure the answer is no, however, I have what seems to be fluid marks that have spewed out in a splatter pattern right from the a/c compressor clutch. And, when the a/c is running there is this horrible...

Like the title reads, I get air coming out of the vents that's only slightly cooler than outside temps when it's 90deg plus outside while the A/C is on max cool. The A/C works as should if the outside temps are around 80 and below or if it's overcast/...

Mostly related to interior temp sensors.
Did you confirm that the compressor is actually engaged and turning? really dont know the AC system of the e36 but i have seen a similar issue on older bmw's .
Evaporator is probably not the issue.

Bleed (renew) your brake fluid Actually not very hard to bleed (renew) your own motorcycle brake fluid. This should be done at least every 13000 miles. Or when the brake fluid turns from clear to a brown to black color (darker it is, the worse it is)....

I can get steering fluid.
It takes ZF Lifeguard 6 (which is what the BMW fluid is).
The trans in my car is a good point.
I am wondering if there would be any problems caused by me changing the transmission fluid? In the owners manual the owner wrote down that the transmission fluid was changed at roughly 80,000 miles back in 1989. I am almost at 80,000 miles on the odometer...

Yep the one and only fluid now (72,000 or so registering) The fluid isnt burnt or anything, I just was throwing around the idea.
You need to use the ATF that's appropriate to your transmission .
Automatic.

About $35 for a 500ml bottle, available from practically all bike... .
David I use motul RBF 600.
Stains everything - always blue etc coming through - hard to tell when fresh fluid coming through.
Yeah, avoid blue and dark coloured brake fluid.
