New poster here looking at seriously getting a 08 E90 M3 within the next 3-4 months with a budget of sub-$40k. The E39 M5 has been one of my "poster cars" since they've come out. However, most of the ones I've been looking at are 75k miles + and around...

But yes, the maintenance procedures more or less is the same in every car.
All the DIY maintenance and it cost me
Oil Change every 7k miles = $130
Brake Fluid Change every 30k and safely lift the car.

Im trying to hold on to my 16 years old car as long as possible and Im wondering how much to spend on repair to make keeping an old car fiscally feasible.
Theres basic maintenance of oil change which I do twice a year at total $110. Im looking at replacing...

I have recently began taking care of a 2006 Mazda 3 with 54k miles on it.
The maintenance schedule that comes with the manual seems like you don't have to do anything! It doesn't even list the transmission fluid replacement at 30k miles for some reason...

Since your car is a 2006....
Power steering fluid is good to get replaced around 60k.
Keep up with the 30k change interval for that.
Mazda does omit some things from the maintenance schedules, like you found with the ATX fluid.

I have 84k miles on my 2008 535i - I'd like do a preventitive maint change of the power steering fluid. The lid on my reservoir is imprinted with "CHF 11S Only" (which I understand is a synthetic power steering fluid [oil]).

Transmission fluid should have another dipstick, and since you'll have the bonnet up you may as well check the engine oil, transmission fluid this is not a normal maintenance....
