I have them crossing power cables at rights angles and have had no problems whatsoever.
The more I think about it what is the fascination for hiding cables and getting problems (and are dedicated wall cables).

It doesn't look as neat as 'no wires' but it's 1000% tidier than wires...if you know what I mean .
You could go the simple way and use D-line trunking .

Of adding in your own trunking, one cheap way of keeping cables tidy is to use Spiral Wrap:
http on the gensets/inside the control gear they make, but it's just as well suited for tidying up computer cables the place where all cables....

Want to remove electrical sconces on bedroom walls. Would prefer not to cover the holes or hide with pictures. Can these holes be patched? Can wires be removed? Is this a fire hazard?
