Elaborating on Tomas' post: when you installed your Matrox Mini you will have also installed the necessary calibration software.
The calibration tool, all is explained when you are using it.

Okay so i was surfing around the forums and caught a discussion on Audyssey EQ XT32 and how it was excellent for calibrating subs.
