For instance, the app could say something like, "Please wait." or "I'll be right back". A friend asked me if it was possible, and since I don't have an iPhone I couldn't answer the question.

SOME networks even block SIP (as they dont want to lose revenue)... .
Sounds like
1 - problem with needing a SIP proxy definition to get your voice out
2 - the SIP service provider has a problem
but getting SIP to work over Mobile networks can be an issue .

They won't let you just sit there all day hear back or better yet, speak to a live person and tell them the issues you are having.

Just curious to see what people call their phones, laptops, ipods etc. I got an HTC One X yesterday and I've decided to call it Wheatley (portal 2).
