There are certainly some cases where a vitamin prescription is called for.

For those of you who's OB's have told you to take an Iron Supplement did they give you a perscription or are you taking an OTC iron? Do you have any side effects from the iron supplement? I have heard that it can cause stomach and/or constipation issues...

I'd go with the OTC pills.
I have no input about the iron and whether or not to get the prescription but if you have a prescription for Iron and you use an FSA it will cover the $45.

I wouldn't spend that much on a prescription but I'm a liquid iron which is kept refrigerated and I get at The Vitamin Shoppe called Floradix iron insurance plan will differ but my generic....
I think I pay $3 for a 30 day supply .

I was at a plant last month to go over my prescription glasses....
My prescription glasses though "safety rated" don't have side shields.
I haven't used those, but they do make safety glasses that will go over many prescription glasses.
