I'm looking to buying 3 types of cameras:
1) a digital SLR that I can use for more professional type photos

No phone has a real camera, not by any stretch that phone cameras are not the best in low light conditions, even with the built in little lightbulbs.
cameras cost real money, starting at about $500 and up.
