Well... he's actually talking about cell phones and planes, but just insert "cameras" or "digital cameras"... He's spot on, and I think this exact same thing when I read criticisms of cameras on photography sites - and here sometimes on this very forum...

I carry a compact, relatively cheap camera and/or my cell,
so the camera is actually resting....
That way it would be easily accessible, possibly even while riding .
Maybe a frame bag or bento bag would work (depending on size of camera).

There are niches for both larger cameras and smaller minutes you will spend the rest of your photography with the camera regretting it and blaming its you will spend the rest ....
